Maulana Primary School is located in Epworth in the South Eastern part of Harare. It was founded by the late Mr Maulana and Mrs Maulana. We had occasion to be part of a handover of structures to Mr and Mrs Maulana shortly before he passed. The motivation for the founding of the school was the taking in and education of AIDS Orphans. Mr and Mrs Maulana put in a lot of work in establishing the school and taking care of the education needs of orphaned children at a time Zimbabwe was going through a very difficult period. The Tichatonga Foundation the CSR arm of Portnet Private Limited contributed through The Rotary Club of Harare are directly to ensure shelter could be built for the students.
